ABOUT CAROL
Carol Olsen teacher, author, and owner of Gig Harbor Press offers workshops
to schools, libraries and bookstores. Carol has taught grades K-10, in a variety
of settings, from the West to the East Coast of the U.S. She has also taught
internationally via the internet. Her teaching is characterized by an interest
in the students as individuals. She inspires young people to generate unique
ideas, to embellish those ideas, and to publish their work.

Current Event
Carol joined students at Evergreen Primary School on November 19th for their Family Fun Night and Scholastic Book Fair. Left-over Louie was the result of a contest sponsored by Scholastic and Morrow Junior Books. New York author: Johanna Hurwitz was looking for a new character for her children's books. RECENT EVENTS
Carol held Camp Write-Away at Borders Books in Uptown, Gig Harbor, WA. during the summer.
At "Taste of Camp Write-Away," writers learned recipes for writing. They improved their skills and explored publishing opportunities. Designing treasure trunks and filling them with clues sparked an interest in mysteries. Visit Camp Write-Away

Parents and teachers, it is time to schedule school visits for 2011.. Carol is available for daytime and evening events. Fees vary with date, time, and service. Reserve a spot.
